A customer meeting recently concluded with the confirmation of a tissue converting equipment project. The discussion focused on the intended finished paper products, the required converting stages and the practical conditions that must be clarified before equipment production begins.

The photographs record the project confirmation after the technical and commercial discussion. The signed document marks an important step, but it is not the end of project planning. Equipment configuration still needs to follow the confirmed raw material, finished-product dimensions, packing format, output target and factory conditions.

Starting with the Finished Tissue Product

A tissue machinery project should begin with the product the customer plans to sell. Toilet rolls, facial tissues, kitchen towels and paper napkins use different converting and packing processes. Even products in the same category may require different machine settings or optional units.

The main information to confirm includes jumbo roll width and diameter, paper basis weight, number of plies, finished sheet or roll dimensions, embossing, perforation, core size, sheets per pack and retail packing style. These details provide a more reliable basis for equipment selection than choosing a machine only by its maximum speed.

Matching the Main Machine with Downstream Equipment

For a toilet roll project, a toilet paper rewinding machine forms long paper logs, while cutting and retail packing require downstream equipment. For a facial tissue project, a facial tissue folding machine produces folded tissue logs that must be cut and packed in a compatible format.

If the project includes a complete production line, each stage must be reviewed together. The discharge direction, transfer height, product dimensions and operating rhythm should match between the main converting machine, cutter, conveyors and packing equipment. A fast upstream machine cannot deliver the expected finished-pack output when the downstream section becomes the bottleneck.

Factory Conditions Discussed Before Production

The equipment plan also depends on the installation site. Workshop length, width and clear height influence the production-line layout. Door positions, columns, raw-material access and finished-product storage can affect the final machine arrangement.

Electrical voltage, frequency, phase and available power should be confirmed before manufacturing. The project may also require compressed air, vacuum connections or other utilities according to the selected machines. Early confirmation reduces changes during installation and commissioning.

What Happens After Project Confirmation

After the principal equipment scope is confirmed, the next work normally includes reviewing technical specifications, preparing production drawings, checking electrical standards and arranging the manufacturing schedule. If customized embossing, printing or packing formats are required, samples and drawings should be approved before the corresponding components are produced.

Factory testing should use representative material whenever practical. The test can then check paper feeding, tension, folding or rewinding, cutting, counting and product discharge under conditions closer to the planned production process.

Renix Machinery supports individual tissue machines and connected tissue production lines. Customers preparing a new project can provide finished-product samples, raw-material specifications, target output, packing requirements, workshop dimensions and destination power conditions for configuration review.
