01 · LINE OVERVIEW

Production process and equipment connection

A Practical Toilet Paper Line for Flexible Production

The 2200 semi-automatic toilet paper production line is intended for new or growing converting factories that need stable rewinding and cutting without installing a fully connected automatic system at the beginning.

The line converts jumbo tissue rolls into finished toilet rolls through rewinding, perforation, embossing, log cutting and retail packing. Product transfer and selected packing operations remain operator-assisted, allowing the factory to handle several roll diameters and pack quantities with a controlled initial investment.

The final configuration should be based on the intended toilet roll rather than selected from the main rewinder width alone.

Suitable Finished Products

The production line can be configured for standard cored toilet rolls and coreless toilet rolls. The exact product range depends on the rewinding structure, core-feeding arrangement, cutting system and packing equipment.

The buyer should confirm:

  • Finished-roll width

  • Finished-roll diameter

  • Core diameter or coreless requirement

  • Number of plies

  • Paper basis weight

  • Perforation length

  • Number of sheets per roll

  • Embossing requirement

  • Rolls per retail pack

If several product formats will be produced, the complete specification range should be reviewed before the machines are manufactured.

Production Process

The typical production route is:

  • Jumbo tissue roll loading

  • Paper unwinding and web alignment

  • Ply combination

  • Embossing

  • Perforation

  • Core feeding or coreless roll formation

  • Rewinding

  • Paper log discharge

  • Paper log cutting

  • Finished-roll collection

  • Individual or multi-roll packing

  • Secondary carton or bundle handling

Because the machines are not necessarily connected by a complete automatic transfer system, operators may move paper logs and finished rolls between the converting, cutting and packing stages.

Equipment Composition

2200 Toilet Paper Rewinding Machine

The rewinding machine converts jumbo tissue rolls into long perforated paper logs. Depending on the selected configuration, the machine can complete unwinding, paper guidance, embossing, perforation, core feeding, rewinding and log discharge.

The 2200 mm effective width should be matched to the jumbo rolls available to the factory. Paper width, diameter, basis weight, number of plies and tensile strength can influence the unwind arrangement and practical operating result.

Paper Log Cutting Equipment

A band saw can support operator-assisted cutting when production volume is moderate and the factory requires flexible operation. An automatic log saw can provide repeated positioning, clamping, cutting and discharge when more consistent roll widths and higher cutting continuity are required.

The selected cutting equipment must accept the paper log diameter and length produced by the rewinder.

Retail Packing Equipment

Semi-automatic packing equipment can be selected for individual rolls or multi-roll packs. Operators arrange or feed the rolls, while the equipment completes the selected wrapping, bagging or sealing operation.

This arrangement is useful when the factory needs to test several pack quantities before the primary retail format becomes stable.

Embossing Options

The production line can use edge embossing, full-width embossing or laminated embossing according to the finished-product requirement.

Edge embossing can help hold multiple plies together. Full-width embossing changes the surface appearance and apparent bulk. Laminated embossing can be selected when the product requires more defined ply bonding and pattern presentation.

Embossing pressure should match the paper basis weight, softness and number of plies. Custom rollers should be manufactured from an approved pattern drawing or finished-product sample.

Automatic and Manual Operations

Automatically Completed Operations

  • Paper web guidance after initial setup

  • Embossing and perforation

  • Core feeding when the corresponding unit is included

  • Rewinding and paper log formation

  • Paper log discharge

  • Log cutting when an automatic log saw is included

Operator-Assisted Operations

  • Jumbo roll replacement and initial paper threading

  • Paper log transfer between unconnected machines

  • Finished-roll collection and arrangement

  • Packing-material replenishment

  • Secondary packing and carton handling

  • Product inspection and rejected-roll removal

  • Product changeover, cleaning and maintenance

Semi-automatic does not mean that the main converting equipment is manually operated. The term describes the way the complete production stages are connected and where operators remain involved.

Reference Output

Practical output should be calculated for the complete line, not only from the displayed speed of the rewinding machine.

The result can be influenced by:

  • Jumbo paper quality

  • Number of plies

  • Finished-roll diameter

  • Number of sheets per roll

  • Embossing method

  • Cutting equipment

  • Product-transfer method

  • Rolls per retail pack

  • Operator preparation

The production proposal should state the calculation basis together with the reference output.

Workshop Planning

The equipment should follow a clear product flow from jumbo roll storage to rewinding, cutting, packing and finished-product collection.

The workshop should reserve space for:

  • Jumbo roll storage and loading

  • Rewinder operation and maintenance

  • Paper log transfer

  • Log cutting

  • Finished-roll collection

  • Retail packing

  • Packaging-material storage

  • Finished-product storage

  • Electrical and compressed-air connections

Additional space should be reserved if the factory plans to add automatic conveyors or a connected packing system later.

Information Required for Configuration

  • Jumbo roll width and diameter

  • Paper basis weight and number of plies

  • Finished-roll width and diameter

  • Core diameter or coreless requirement

  • Perforation length

  • Embossing requirement

  • Rolls per pack

  • Target output

  • Available operators

  • Workshop dimensions

  • Destination voltage and frequency

A finished toilet roll sample or complete product specification can help confirm the rewinding, cutting and packing arrangement.

02 · PACKAGING FORMAT

Primary and secondary packing options

The line can support individual roll wrapping, multi-roll bag packaging and operator-assisted bundle or carton packing. The final packing method should be confirmed according to the roll diameter, rolls per pack, packaging material and target output.
03 · LINE LAYOUT

Equipment arrangement and workshop flow

Layout of 2200 Semi-Automatic Toilet Paper Production Line
The layout should be reviewed with the actual workshop dimensions, machine interfaces, maintenance access and material routes.
CONFIGURATION NOTE

Practical output, operator quantity, installed power and workshop space depend on the final equipment combination, finished-product dimensions, packing format and operating conditions. Confirm these values in the final technical proposal.
